    “Diaphragmatic breathing balances the autonomic nervous system” Very true. Sometimes we take breathing for granted. I stopped cardio for the past 4 years, only doing weight lifting. To my detriment, I stopped breathing properly. My stressful job causes me to breathe shallow, and I was not mindful to use my diaphragm for years. I suffered intense headaches, neck pain from inflamed occipital nerves 1st time in my life. I knew pain was not from simply muscle tightness, it was caused by a lack of oxygen and nutrients to my nerve cells. This breathing exercise saved me from quitting my job and losing out on life. Thank you 🙏 ❤

    Thank you Judy. I’ve been looking into Dinacharya and other Ayurvedic practices, but I am at a loss for how to implement them when I have two young children introducing so much chaos into my life! 😂 It’s lovely chaos, of course, but it feels so impossible just to have even a few seconds to myself in a day, let alone to do anything self-care related. Is there a way to incorporate Ayurvedic practices into a family life setting with young kids? Or do I just have to wait until they’re older? lol

    we breathe poorly with the smaller side of diaphragm, it's crucial to engage this one not other one you already know how to use, it can fix your posture btw

    I got a Nettie pot brand new from goodwill cause it was $2. All the stuff for the solution is years expired, but expiration dates can be a scam for return sales. It doesn’t matter either way cause I’m to scared to try it. Now I know I can make my own solution. Just have to not be a 🐈 with an irrational drowning fear of using it. 😂 Considering Im always breathing in pollen, grass, and dust from work. Along with 👃🏻🎉 it would probably be beneficial.

    I loved this video! I just ordered a simple sandalwood mala. I've been meditating for a few years but recently discovered that I'm more focused when I use beads. I'm also glad that you mentioned that it's not about the material the mala is made out or how it looks but about our intention when using it. I find that there has recently been a market around selling fancy and expensive mala, singing bowls, Buddha statues, etc. That seems so strange to me since fashion, trends and materialism doesn't really gel with what the Buddha represents.
